Below freezing temperatures enveloped Mammoth today and after a light dusting of snow this morning, more snow is expected tonight. The cold front is expected to last until the weekend when temperatures are expected to climb back up into the 50s.
After an early season snowfall in mid-October that led to the second earliest opening of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area ever, temperatures returned to normal fall ranges and MMSA was forced to close soon after the early opening.
In the Town of Mammoth Lakes most of the snow from the previous storm has melted, but it looks as though October may close out with more white stuff on the ground. Stay tuned to see how much accumulates tonight!
