Last week, Well Dunn Catering and Capital Décor and Events partnered with Halcyon House in Georgetown to host a super decadent showcase event entitled, An Evening in the Garden of Good and Evil. The result was an elegant event with innovative design and wonderful food.
The Halcyon House's large lower-level space with its high ceilings and dramatic windows provided the perfect backdrop for the goody goodies to relax and sample food from Well Dunn Catering’s fall menu. Sheer fabric surrounded columns at the center of the room, concealing DJ Chris Laich. Perched high above guests and surrounded by beautifully draped white fabric, he provided the entertainment for the evening. Soft lighting, creative florals, natural elements, and neutral tones helped to complete this truly angelic design.
Out on the terrace, a wash of red lighting and edgier décor conveyed a naughtier vibe. A lighted bar popped against graffiti covered brick walls, while small red leather lounge furniture provided intimate seating areas. Two distinct but equally enticing spaces made the choice between good and evil all the more difficult. Good thing guests didn’t actually have to choose!
