May 21's Wine Tasting Happy Hour featured wines of New Zealand

Well, I've finally found the perfect Thursday after-work activity. In my world, that consists of an awesome food and wine experience, at a reasonable price no less. And did I mention that it's right here in downtown Harrisburg? Can it all be true? Yep.

Last month, Zia's at Red Door started hosting its weekly Wine Tasting Happy Hours. Every Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m., you can sample three wines (3-ounce pours) plus nibble on a complementary, mini food buffet, at the affordable price of $15. And the bar's in-house wine expert visits your table to deliver a brief education on every wine. Different wine regions and varietals are featured every week – California, France and New Zealand were the stars over the past few weeks. This week's special tasting will feature sparkling wines, plus the paired food, and will cost $20.

I can't think of a more pleasant way to wind down for the week with friends. Zia's at Red Door plans to continue the weekly Wine Tasting Happy Hours all summer long. Please be sure to RSVP for these events, as seating is limited. Cheers!
