Fiji is incredible. And though your family is the last team to arrive at the hotel, you don’t mind. You’ve got ten hours to "pit stop" at the resort, compliments of CBS, which should allow time for showering, sleeping, and strolling by the sea you think. Life is good.
Except for one thing: The hotel staff explain that all of their portacribs have already been checked out. Right. This might not be such a problem if your baby wasn’t now a happy, active roller, or wasn’t too jetlagged to just want to pull your hair while lying next to you, or if the hotel room floor wasn’t cold, hard tile.
That’s okay. You can help keep him corralled, and entertained, and comfy when he finally does snooze, with the Bright Starts Baby’s Place Play Mat. Sure, you left the overhead “squiggley bars” at home, though without them it folds up flat and compact enough to carry in your partner’s backpack, and still has loops for toys and a baby-safe play mirror.
With its sides folded up, it’s an infant travel bed. When you’re baby’s too long, fold the foot end down (also works as a co-sleeper in the center of your double bed). When it’s play time, fold out as desired, whether it’s on the floor of your hotel or at Gate 46 of the airport. Time for an impromptu diaper change (including on your airplane that has no changing tables)? Keep it handy, my friend. And enjoy your night in Fiji.
