In this column from the start has said that the Fort Hood Shooting was an act of terrorism.  Courageous Senator Joseph Lieberman on Sunday called it terrorism.  Now tha mainstream media such as FOX, CBS, NBC, etc. are just starting to pick it up six days after the tragedy.

According to Reuters.com US Agencies knew of contacts between the Fort Hood shooter Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan and an Al Queda sympatizer in Yeman named Anwar al-Awlaki.  US Authorities concluded that the information gathered from these contacts were consitstent with Hasan's academic work and not of any concern.  Read more here.

All the warning signs were there.  This is terrorism.  Even a civilian could see that.  Hasan posted pro-suicide bombing propaganda on his comupter.  He worshipped at the same mosque that was led by the Spiritual advisor to the 9/11hijackers.  He made remarks against the wars in Iraq a nd Afghanistan.  According to National Public Radio, this man was not liked by his colleagues at Walter Reed and made slanderous statements against the military.

Did any one care to give Hasan an evaluation? This man was unfit to be a psychiatrist let alone on active duty in the Army. He is a terrorist! Now the FBI, CIA, and National Security Agency are scurrying and pointing fingers at each other. Someone dropped the ball. Who dropped it remains to be seen.
