Controversy around RapeLay game sparked ban

This morning Brian Ashcraft at the gaming news site Kotaku.com is reporting on the fallout in the gaming industry – specifically among makers of adult games – after the game RapeLay sparked a Japanese ban on "rape games" depicting sexual violence and allowing players to enact violent fantasies.

Ashcraft reports that in the wake of the controversy, some game makers have retitled games to avoid another outcry. They don't appear to be trying very hard. Here are the (translated) titles Ashcraft provides:

Original title: Mihiro Sensei's Rape Diary
New title: Mihhiro Sensei's Diary.

Slave Maiden's Rape Hell
Young Girl's Prison

Repayment Sex Slavery
Repayment Plan
