How could the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame possibly hope to top Night One of it's 25th Anniversary Concerts? How about by not only having U2 not only invite the Black Eyed Peas on stage, but also Mick Jagger?

The concert followed the same format as the previous night's show; past inductees come out and perform their sets, accompanied by various guest stars, some who are announced and many that are kept under wraps until the artist takes the stage.

The bill for tonight included Aretha Franklin, Jeff Beck, Metallica and U2, but as fans came to expect from Night One, that's not the only musicians that performed.

Be sure to check out Night One's recap to see what amazing surprises were in store for fans of Crosby, Stills & Nash, Simon & Garfunkel, Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen.

Night Two Recap:

  • As he did last night, Tom Hanks kicked off the event by introducing Jerry Lee Lewis, who played one song. This time, it was "Great Ball of Fire".
  • Aretha Franklin was up first, after performing "Baby I Love You", she invites Annie Lennox out to perform with her.
  • Franklin then invites Lenny Kravitz on stage, together they perform "Think".
  • Franklin ends the set with her legendary track, "Respect".
  • Jeff Beck takes the stage with Sting, where they perform "People Get Ready".
  • Buddy Guy joins the two on stage for "Let Me Love You Baby".
  • Beck's final guest, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, joins the group and takes lead vocals for Hendrix's "Foxy Lady".
  • Metallica begins their set, performing songs like "One" and even Bob Seger's "Turn the Page".
  • Lou Reed joins Metallica for "Sweet Jane".
  • Ozzy Osbourne runs up on stage and joins Metallica for renditions of "Iron Man" and "Paranoid".
  • Metallica is then joined by Ray Davies for extremely heavy versions of "You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night".
  • U2 opens up their set with "Vertigo".
  • The crowd erupts as U2 invites Patti Smith and last night's star, Bruce Springsteen, on stage for "Because the Night". They start out in a rough manner, but finish strong. They do a take-two to make sure they give the song the proper respect.
  • After U2 performs their hit "Mysterious Ways", they lead right into "Where is the Love?" as they are joined by the Black Eyed Peas.
  • As U2 and the Black Eyed Peas start the Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter", the crowd goes nuts as Mick Jagger joins the already-packed stage. Fergie sang the female lead part of the song.
  • Bono and Mick Jagger take turns singing "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of".
  • U2 finishes their set with a very strong rendition of their iconic hit "Beautiful Day"

The entire show will air as a 4-hour spectacular on HBO November 29th. Watch for a recap of tonight's show to appear on this page tomorrow.
