The women's basketball rivalry between Toledo and Bowling Green just got a little more interesting.

On Wednesday, the Mid-American Conference released its preseason conference predictions and the two I-75 rivals were chosen to win their respective divisions. In the East, Bowling Green beat out Kent State and Miami for the preseason nod and in the West, the Rockets withstood a close vote against both Ball State and Northern Illinois.

The Falcons were also picked as the MAC Tournament favorite.

Last year, Toledo finished second in the MAC West with an 18-13 record. This year's squad brings back nine players, including three seniors, from a team that was only edged out by Ball State.

Bowling Green has four seniors on a team that went a phenomenal 29-5, including 15-1 in conference play. The Falcons also are returning last year's MAC Player of the Year, Lauren Prochaska, who averaged 17.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season.
