A Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, there were two people, a man and a woman.

He saw himself as plain and ordinary.

She saw herself as plain and ordinary.

They met one day and fell in love.

One day they kissed.

He stepped back and saw her glowing radiantly beautiful and powerful. He said to her "You are a Goddess!"

She stepped back and saw him glowing radiantly handsome and strong. She said to him "You are a God!"

"I never knew!" they said to each other.

They looked down at themselves and saw nothing but plain and ordinary humans. They looked at each other and saw a God and Goddess.

"This is a Fairy Tale", they told each other "and we get to write it the way we want it to be!"

So they created the Fairy Tale that they were a God and Goddess, glowing brightly with love and compassion.

They grew together, worked together and traveled the world. Everywhere they went, they sent out waves of unconditional love all around them.

People were drawn to them for healing and teaching. Some said that just being near them was refreshing to their souls.

They remembered always to thank the Universe for being able to live the Fairy Tale. And the Universe smiled.

Gradually, the man and woman began to see others around them glowing with the same divine light, and they knew that they were seeing the God and Goddess in other people.

So the couple continued their travels and work together.

And they continued to thank the Universe for being able to see each other as the God and Goddess.

One day, as they walked down the beach, they noticed that every one there was glowing with that divine light. They smiled.

They sat on the beach, looked at each other and smiled at the divinity that they saw in each other. Looking down, however, they saw their plain and ordinary humanness.

They held hands and said "We thank the Universe for allowing us to live this Fairy Tale! But, we feel like we're missing something. What is it that we don't understand?"

Through the sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the beach came a great sigh of relief from the Universe.

"My Children" they both heard, "since your birth, you have been living the wrong Fairy Tale."

And with that, they both understood. They looked at the radiance, beauty and power in each other, then looked down and saw the same divinity within themselves.

The man, woman and the Universe all smiled!

Once upon a time, there were two people, a man and a woman.

He saw himself as plain and ordinary.

She saw herself as plain and ordinary.

They met one day and fell in love.

One day they kissed.

They stepped back and smiled as they saw the beautiful glow of the divine within each other.

They then looked at themselves and smiled as they saw the radiant glow of a God and a Goddess.

They smiled as they gave up living the Fairy Tale that they were plain and ordinary humans, and chose to live the reality of their True Selves, a God and Goddess.

And they lived happily ever after!
