The Sony Ericsson Aino is now available in the U.S. and its available online at sonystyle.com; ready to ship for $599.00.
The AINO features an 8.1 Megapixel touchscreen camera, GPS with Google Maps preloaded, wireless connectivity and 3G HSPA.
Additionally, it has Playstation 3 Remote Play which allows you to access music, movies and pictures stored in the Playstation.
No specific mentioning of the Sony Ericsson Satio (originally called the 'idou') in the Sony Style website although the Sony Ericsson U.S. site shows a link to it and an extended promotional video.
The interesting fact about the release is that the Satio was the first phone to be announced/introduced even before GSMA in Barcelona early in the year. The Satio became official in May in London. The only possible argument is the working of the specifics as the Satio provides stronger features and specifications; namely a 12.1 megapixel camera.
While the Aino is intended to be a gaming-focused phone, as of now it seems as it can't yet compete with the iPhone. Whether that is Sony Ericsson's intent for the U.S. market is yet to be seen as the phone has yet to to have a carrier - which would most likely be AT & T.
