SouthPark mall will be hosting Simon Fashion Now on October 23 and 24. Presented by Land Rover Charlotte, the compilation of fashion shows, food, and charity is free to the public. The best part is, the fashions featured are pulled from the wide array of styles and price points available for immediate purchase at SouthPark stores. The goal is to celebrate fall fashion in motion, practical, yet theatrically displayed to offer drama and the feel of exclusivity to customers representing all budgets.
Friday, Oct. 23 dubbed Trends and Friends Night will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the SouthPark Circle Court and will include runway shows and showcase points for the latest trends. Dress for Success Charlotte will be the featured beneficiary of a silent auction. This non-profit organization provides career support and professional attire to women in need; an amazing program as we all know simply looking good can do wonders for our outlook and esteem. Those who are interested in donating are encouraged to bring new or gently used accessories.
Saturday, Oct. 24 the celebration continues at Center Court with runway shows happening every hour from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and more trendy displays. Shows include fashion for men and women, providing ideas and tips on how to wear the latest looks and update your staple pieces. Some featured retailers include Dillard’s, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, BCBGMAXAXRIA, Gap, Banana Republic, and Swarovski. You can check out Simon Fashion Now at the official Facebook Fan Page for more information.
I believe that modern style icons, think Kate Moss, come into such esteem from sporting an eclectic mix of high/low fashion. Miss Moss buys pieces she loves and wears them over and over, establishing the effortless nature of her style. No matter the price range, style can be inspiringly contrived. Thus, I’m particularly excited that SouthPark is recognizing and embracing the modern attraction to conscious spending. I see a tremendous difference in frivolity and style, and encourage those who have a statement to make in life to be in attendance to soak up the fall aesthetic.
