Nominate a Columbus caregiver in Care.com's Care Hero 2009 contest

Many of us know someone who makes amazing sacrifices to not only care for his or her own family, but provide care and support to a friend or family member as well. On October 30, 2009, President Obama proclaimed November to be National Caregiver Month to honor those taking the responsibility to provide care for others who would otherwise be unable to care for themselves.
Care.com, an online service providing local caregiver resources, is celebrating caregivers this November with a special contest. They are calling on you to nominate a Care Hero, a person in your life who has gone to great lengths to care for the people they love or work for.
Beginning October 29, you may nominate a caregiver who deserves to be called a Care Hero by visiting Care.com on Facebook. Share your caregiver's photo and a short story of why you think they should be honored as 2009’s Care Hero. Then get your friends involved in helping us choose the year’s Care Hero—because comments on your nominee’s photo will help your Care Hero nominee win the contest!
The Grand Prize winner will be chosen at the end of November. The 2010 Care.com Care Hero winner will receive a $500 “Care Package” including a hotel stay, tickets to a show, and dinner. As a thank you for the nomination, the nominator of the winning Care Hero will receive a $100 restaurant gift certificate as well. Care.com will also be choosing weekly Care Hero winners from those nominated who will each receive a $100 restaurant gift certificate. And if you nominated a weekly winner, Care.com will give you a free, 3-month Premium Membership to Care.com.
