7-Eleven offers free Slurpees

It's that time of year again - 7-Eleven's birthday. As it does every year, the stores will be giving away free 11 oz. Slurpees. The convenience store, which is celebrating its 82nd birthday, opened in Dallas in 1927.
The giveaway is Saturday (July 11, or 7-11, which the company calls 7-Eleven Day). The press release has additional details. This year each cup will have a code and cup codes can be texted to 33992 or can be entered on 7-Eleven.com for a chance to win free tickets on LiveNation.
The retailer says they plan on giving away close to 5 million free slurpees this year.
