The Consumer Products Safety Commission recalled multiple types of inflatables for infants and young children due to possible drowning concerns Thursday.
According to the CPSC, the leg straps in the Aqua-Leisure inflatables can tear causing a baby or young child to fall through the inflatable and into the water or under the water. The commission said 31 incidents have been reported, but no one has been injured.
The toys were sold throughout retail outlets including Toys "R" Us, Target, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Kmart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and Bed, Bath & Beyond from December 2002 through June 2009 for between $8 and $15.
Make sure to check out the slideshow below to see examples of items included in the recall.
The CPSC recommends consumers stop using the toys immediately and contact Aqua-Leisure for a full refund on their Web site or by phone at (866) 807-3998 8:30 - 5:30 M-F Eastern Time. All images are courtesy of the CPSC.
