Walgreens' Take Care Health Clinics are offering free health care for the remainder of 2009 for those who have lost jobs. The have dubbed the program the "Take Care Recovery Plan."

Here's how it works: if you have been seen in a Take Care clinic before you lose your job, then lose your job and insurance after March 31, you, your spouse or partner and children can receive free health care for the remainder of 2009 or until you have new insurance.

The press release also says Quest Diagnostics, who performs the lab work for the clinic, has agreed to waive the fees for labs they run through the clinic.

Patients can see someone between 11 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday for the free visits. The clinic will provide free appointments and services for a variety of illnesses from coughs, colds, and flu to mild rashes. The offer does not include well visits, vaccines or injections according to their Web site.
