Show your love for trains at 30th Street Station, from 10am to 3pm, and check out all the cool things at Philadelphia’s celebration for National Train Day.
The celebration will include music, food, exhibits, face paintings, photos and hands-on activities. According to their web site, Radio Disney will be there with a lot for kids as well as all the other exhibits and activities planned.
My sons go nuts over trains so I am sure we will be making the trip in for it.

On May 16th an excursion train will leave from the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA at 9am and arrive in East Stroudsburg at about 11am. The 1909 switching tower at East Stroudsburg will be open for tours, and rail historians from across NEPA will be on hand to show displays and models. Books Brushes and Blooms, East Stroudsburg's annual spring event will also happen concurrently at the adjacent Miller Park.

Commuters and guests will take part in the National Train Day celebration on Friday, May 8th from 7:30 am to 7:51 am on the westbound platform. Train-themed refreshments and a giveaway bag with valuable coupons and promotional materials is available for participants. AAA Central Pennsylvania, Elizabethtown Library, and the Elizabethtown Chamber of Commerce provided materials for the giveaways.
