Target along with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled approximately 610,000 halloween flashlights this week.

Target has received eight incidents of the flashlights overheating and melting. In one case, a flashlight reportedly caused burns to a person's hand.

The large flashlights were orange and black, included stencils and sold for $2.50. The mini flashlights were sold in various colors for $1.

The flashlights were manufactured in both New Jersey and Hong Kong.

Consumers are advised to stop using the flashlights and return them to a Target store for a full refund.

For more information, contact Target at 1-800-440-0680 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
