Teeth, directed by Mitchell Lichtenstein, is an Indie horror cult film about a serial killer that uses her vagina as her weapon of choice. High school student Dawn becomes the victim of date rape and soon discovers that she has vagina dentata, a toothed vagina.

The idea of vagina dentata is an ancient myth found in numerous cultures such as ancient Greek, Chinese and Indian mythology, and Christianity. But fortunately for us vajajay lovers out there it is only a myth. The concept of the vagina having teeth derived from the similarities the vagina has with the mouth as well as men’s ancient fear of castration by their partners. These ancient cultures believed that it was possible for a man to go to bed with a woman who had teeth in her vagina, take a big bite and cause his timely and unfortunate demise. I love the power dynamic of this myth. Vaginas never seize to amaze me.

In the movie Dawn finds herself thrice the victim of penis brutality. All the guys young people, like herself, that she believed she could trust, that she wanted to love and that she thought loved her. This happens all too often when we are dating. Women hold back the power that is naturally within them as to not have it interfere with a potential relationship. Women settle for the pleasing exterior of a man as well as the situation. His eyes are ‘oh-so sexy’ and ‘we sat outside and talked for 2 hours! He is such a great listener’. Women often forget that when you first meet someone you are meeting their representative and men can be just as good at hiding their true colors as women. Men don’t reveal who they really are because their ultimate goal (especially in the dating world when your next time is unknown) is sex.

A lot of women have been in a situation when the guy you were dating or getting to know is none too short of perfect until your first time rolling around together.
Now ladies, we all know that he came back for seconds but the conversation, date suggestions and general interest from his side took a slight dive after sex. That’s because he now doesn’t have to try so hard. He’s relaxed, and that is when we’ve given up (almost) complete power.

We are sitting on a cushy platinum mine and we forget that. Dawn used the power inside of her for evil but in her mind she was giving these scummy guys what they deserved. All they cared for was getting it wet but they knew they had to get to Dawn’s personality first.

Make him work for your gift. You are not a prize to be won but a gift to be cherished. Know that as much as you want him he wants you and your body 150 times more. If you think the conversation is romantic, the restaurants are delicious and the shopping trips are fabulous imagine how much more fun you can have knowing the reasons he’s doing all of this; you. You’re personality, confidence, sexiness, and charm are what gets you want you want. So be aggressive ladies and don’t forget to show your teeth.
