The Prince of the United States of America - Barack Obama

Has the ‘Audacity of Hope’ become a national joke?

A new Princedom, where the Prince himself is new, the difficulty of maintaining possession varies with the greater or lesser ability of him who acquires such possession. The mere fact of a private/simple man rising to become a Prince presupposes either merit or good fortune, it shall be seen that either one of two conditions shall ultimately reign supreme; his sensational success or fallible failure?

As November 2008 brought a new leadership and policy-styled government to Washington, with Democrats gaining complete control of Washington, from the White House on down, many citizens now question their decision to allow such a hierarchy.

As President Obama’s numbers continue to slide, following a seemingly less than successful stimulus packaged plan and bailout bust, with a heinous health care plan stalled, the question still remains are we better off now than we were eight years ago under a Bush administration?

For Change shall come from a cause common to all States, namely, that men, thinking to better their condition, are always ready to change masters, and in this expectation will take up arms against any ruler; wherein they deceive themselves and find afterwards, by experience, that they are worse off than before.

As many, Democrats/Republicans/Independents, are now questioning the timing of Promises given during the campaign and when those commitments shall be upheld, others remain faithful in their quest to see a more transparent governmental system in the nation’s capital. Yet as Hope remains high and supporters continuously offer the words of old wise men ‘Leave it to Time’, as they look to enjoy the fruits of President Obama’s vision and foresight, we must also look to the old adage or fact that Time, driving all things before it, may bring with it evil as well as good.

Therefore what can, We the People, look forward to over the next year leading into what is sure to be a contentious mid-term battle for Congressional positioning?

As mortgage lending banks fail to uphold to the promises of reducing rates to their clients, after receiving a life line from Washington, who will be the voice of the People, as the White House has essentially bowed out? While health care remains an issue needed to be addressed, how will a Party with different factions deal with a comprehensive overhaul to a system that, for good reason, has been labeled the third rail of politics? And exactly when will the People begin seeing the dividends of a stimulus that promised to decrease the number of jobs lost, yet seems to only have increased the debt for generations to come?

While all this remains topics to be discussed on daily political shows by pundits who, either from the left or right, seem content on driving these negatives over the airwaves, thus continuing their employment, when will Congress realize that the time for grandstanding and posturing needs to cease, as People are suffering daily, at the hands of Partisanship!

Here is my Message to Congress:

Should you from the height of your greatness, sometime turn your eyes to these humble regions, you will become aware of how undeservedly, We the People, have to endure the keen and unremitting malignity of your fortune.
