Porn industry seeks sweet relief; Americans only want

I really have to control the jokes for this one.  According to CNN the pornography industry wants to hop on the bailout train. While I'm sure they're riding Congress hard lobbying heavily, this is just getting ridiculous. Most Americans don't seem to understand what bailouts represent. The banks were bailed out and given relief because without them, our economy collapses. The GM bailout, whether you agree or not, potentially salvaged thousands of jobs. All you kids seeking a free ride with your student loan bailout, smarten up. I expected more out of you. Times are tough for everyone, and the handout seeking makes me retch a little.

This is one of my biggest problems with the government having so much financial weight to throw around. We fund so many garbage, wasteful, nonsensical programs, we really can't say no to anything. Americans want more and more, their piece of the pie. The Obama campaign is showing this, and the prospects worry me. While there, of course, there is always more to the picture, we are now the picture of government reliance. Seeking work programs, stimulus checks, tax cuts, higher taxes on those above us to equal the playing field. The economy does indeed work in cycles, and it's only a matter of time until we weather the storm. At this point, it will be too little too late.

While many of the unemployed are good, hard working people who are just down on their luck, we can't afford to carry everyone's burdens. I am a strong believer of Social Darwinism and survival of the fittest: Trim the fat, so to speak. Not everyone can reach the American dream. Funny thing about dreams: They have to end some time.
