From Atlanta, heading I-20 east, approximately 20 miles from the city, there lies a gem in the midst of suburbia. The Second Office Cigar Club is not only a haven for men escaping the hustle and bustle of the corporate grind, but it also provides a space where business can easily make the transition from cubicle to couch in a matter of minutes. This members only, private cigar club boasts a space for its members to conduct their daily business affairs and to have a great time.

Outfitted with a pool table, free wi-fi and a developing calendar of weekly events, The Second Office gives a man everything he needs. The concept of this type of private cigar club is relatively new to Georgia; The Second Office doesn’t sell cigars nor does it have any type of retail space. Members and their guests are free to bring in cigars but the space is designated for gathering and sharing ideas. Although it is just beginning, as The Second Office Cigar Club has only been open for two and a half months, the current members are very please about the concept and are excited to watch it grow and expand. Businessmen from all walks of life are able to put their feet up and unwind in the relaxing environment.

Women cigar smokers, do not to worry. The Second Office welcomes women with open arms. However, as one patron stated, “ As long as you don’t tell us what to do”. The rules seem simple enough. Executive membership dues are $350 a year and allow members access to the facilities for not only daily unwinding, but also for association, group, and corporate events. According to Ruel Johnson, Vice-President of The Second Office member governing board, pretty much any event can be held as long as the members vote and the event follows the rules and covenant agreed upon. Some members have even started a weekly bible study group called “Holy Smoke”. Membership definitely has its privileges at The Second Office Cigar Club where man has found a place of his own.
