Attention all Atlanta area writers! Here is a challenge for you.
Sponsored by New York City Movie Making Madness, the competition is into its third year. Writers from around the world may compete and we don't want Atlanta, Georgia to be left out.
The competition consits of two rounds, beginning with the first round from Jan. 16-24. Writers are placed randomly into heats and each heat gets assigned a genre and a subject. Within one week, writers must complete an original short story (2,500 words maximum). Winners chosen from the first round advance to the 2nd round.
The second round commences at midnight (EST) on March 13 and writers have 24 hours to write an original short story. The stories are then reviewed by a panel of judges and winners are chosen.
There is an entry fee of $45 and the deadline for that fee is Jan. 14.
The prizes are as follows:
1st place: $1,250 cash and a WriterGuard Premium Subscription Plan (The Vault) for 1 year includes up to 200 copyright registrations per month, valued at $200.
