Rockhounds and seekers of the metaphysical know exactly where to go: Crystal Blue.
Located at 1168 Euclid Ave. since 1985, Crystal Blue is one of the more eye-catching stores in Little Five Points. With crystals and wind chimes hanging in the windows, you're bound to be drawn inside.
Inside the blue door you'll find more than just crystals. Shelves are lined with gems, minerals and polished stones: agate, rose quartz, hematite and a huge list of others for those who collect or just want to browse. Jewelry is under glass of the horseshoe-shaped counter in the center of the store, some of it made with the very gemstones and minerals found on the shelves. A variety of incense, greeting cards and metaphysical books round out the eclectic shop.
The staff is friendly and knowledgable, especially about the gemstones, minerals and crystals and the properties and characteristics of each. They are happy to special order any metaphysical book not found on their shelves, and more than willing to offer assistance.
The shop was named after the 1969 hit song "Crystal Blue Persuasion." If you are familiar with the lyrics of the song, you can certainly relate the two when you walk in the door. There is a spiritual calmness to be found there, no matter how hectic the store may appear.
Photo: this amythest crystal at Crystal Blue is one of the largest I've ever seen.

Woman's Quote of the day:
I always try to balance the light with the heavy - a few tears of human spirit in with the sequins and the fringes. ~~Bette Midler
Lyrics to "Crystal Blue Persuasion":
Look over yonder
What do you see?
The sun is a'rising
Most definitely
A new day is coming, ooh, ooh
People are changing
Ain't it beautiful, ooh, ooh
Crystal blue persuasion
Better get ready
To see the light
Love, love is the answer, ooh, ooh
And that's all right
So don't you give up now, ooh, ooh
So easy to find
Just look to your soul
And open your mind
Crystal blue persuasion, mmm, mmm
It's a new vibration
Crystal blue persuasion
Crystal blue persuasion
Maybe tomorrow
When he looks down
On every green field, ooh, ooh
And every town
All of his children
And every nation
They'll be peace and good brotherhood
Crystal blue persuasion, yeah
