Since 1996, Savage Pizza has served a lotta pizza to anyone visiting them in the Little Five Points community.
Home of the "white on white" pizza - thyme-seasoned ricotta, Monterey Jack, chévre, parmesan and mozzarella cheeses over garlic white sauce - Savage Pizza serves up each fare freshly prepared. In addition to the garlic white sauce, salsa fresca, red wine marinara and spicy red pepper sauce give each pizza a unique flavor.
You can also "build your own" pizza with over 40 toppings to choose from.Calzones, subs and fresh salads round out the menu. You could literally eat at Savage Pizza every day of the month and have a different pizza every day.
Indoor and outdoor patio seating gives you a ground-level view of passersby, some unique to the bohemian lifestyle suggested by the Little Five Points area.
Customer service is important to Savage Pizza and the staff is always accommodating and friendly.
The bad news is that Savage Pizza no longer sells pizza by the slice due to renewed food and health standards: they would be required to throw away too much food.
The good news is that a new Savage Pizza will be opening soon in Avondale Estates (time and location to be announced.)
Located at 484 Moreland Avenue, Savage Pizza has a limited delivery area, but they also do catering.
The Savage Story Once there was this poet/sculptor whose work was so significant, so beyond his time and full of honesty and inspiration that he was dubbed the Savage Messiah. Savage Messiah – a hero who truly evokes the sprit of our own hearts. So when we decided to plunge into the pizza business in 1990, it just seemed appropriate that it be called Savage Pizza. Like its namesake, what grew out of this business is a reputation for honesty and inspiration. Honesty of ingredients – fresh, from-scratch every day – that inspire sauces and culinary creations that have made Savage Pizza one of the most successful and popular neighborhood businesses in the Little Five Points/Virginia-Highland area. |
