As has happened in the past with his mother, HM Queen Elizabeth, French Canadian radicals have warned Prince Charles to not visit Quebec. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are scheduled to visit Canada next month. In the past, monarchs have avoided Quebec and when the Queen has previously visited she has been met with protests and jeers.
The radical group, Reseau de Resistance du Quebecois, has promised to “scorch the ears of the one in line to sit next on the English throne if he dares to put his feet in Quebec.” However, it appears that the couple has no plans to heed the warning and is set to visit both Gatineau and Montreal during their 11-day stay in Canada. Prince Charles has not been to Canada since 2001, but this will be Camilla's first visit.
