As the holiday of Thanksgiving approaches ---
As families prepare for a movable feast, in the next coming weeks, there is a prominent spirit. It is a spirit of joy that can be sensed in the air and in the waters. There is a compelling force to come together, to give thanks, to share good times and to show gratitude toward the one’s loved and cherished.
That very same spirit is alive in the doll community! In the season of Thanksgiving, the spirit that is emphasized is the coming together for a common purpose: The love of doll collecting. It is a spirit of the doll community that happens all year round, but for the celebration of Thanksgiving, a glimpse of the doll community and the gathering of creative doll enthusiasts all over the world, ought to be shared with all interested readers..jpg)
The spirit of Thanksgiving, the doll community’s quest to come together, can be experienced through relationships established: Relationships that can be built between doll show promoters and doll artists, doll artist master teachers and the doll artist apprentices, Doll Network Sites and the doll community and last, doll collectors amongst each other.
It is a connection within the doll community that brings people into a place where creative ideas are exchanged, doll patterns, doll making techniques are taught, the support of artists to be the best he or she wants to be, is highly encouraged; a community that offers one stop, shop access for hard to find resources and materials; and finally a place where doll collectors can find the doll of their dream of dreams, and share it with others whom they love and cherish.
