Zumba is a cardio workout which combines dance moves such as merengue, salsa, and samba with body-sculpting exercises.

Zumba was created by a dancer and choreographer from Miami, Beto Perez. He had financial help from Alberto Perlman and Alberto Aghion.

Essentially Zumba mixes Latin rhythms and other fast and slow moves and becomes a fitness program said to be exhilarating, calorie burning, and energizing. Resistance training is added to sculpt the body and burn fat. The butt, legs, arms, abs, and the heart all benefit from Zumba. Instructors can add their own music and movements so one class in which you intend may be very different from another one.
