Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are a couple who not only work out together but wear matching workout clothes. The working out together part is more interesting to this Examiner. They have been seen in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles hand in hand heading to a gym for a workout.
Reese has learned how to play softball for a movie and works hard to keep her body toned. Jake is often spotted (When not with Reese) biking.
There are pros and cons to working out with your partner. Reese and Jake probably don't work out together. I imagine they have different trainers but just getting to the gym together is positive. If you need a push or your partner does whether it is to hit the streets running or going downstairs to your treadmill you've got a friend.
Working out together as partners can be very sexy. Seeing your partner in workout clothes and working together to get that one extra repetition can be an intimate experience (really)! You will feel more connected, have more energy, and learn how to cooperate and communicate. You will make the effort to eat together and eat more healthfully together.
You don't want to be your partner's trainer and vice versa unless you both can give and take constructive criticism from each other. If you can then working out together can be wonderful because you are on each other's sides. This is not a competition between the two of you. If it feels this way it will be a negative experience rather than a positive one. You must realize that one will be stronger than the other and if that bugs one of you then you either have to work it out or work out separately.
Make working out with your partner fun and you will both be better for it.
