Another case of cancer this time in Amy Mickelson. Amy is only 37. She is the wife of the PGA Tour star Phil Mickelson. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The couple have had three children during their 12 year marriage. Mrs. Mickelson has been called hot and is listed on many sites as one of the hot wives of athletes. She has been one of the most visible wives on the PGA Tour. She is  a former Phoenix Suns cheerleader which makes sense given her looks.

Amy is sill at the stage of more tests and treatment but it is expected that she'll have surgery within a couple of weeks.

Phil Mickelson is the No. 2-ranked golfer in the world. He withdrew from the H.P. Byron Nelson Championship in Dallas. He would have been defending his title. Phil has done what I thought John Edwards should have done - suspend his career.

Good luck to the Mickelson family. Thoughts and prayers from this Examiner.
