Britney Spears has been up and down both physically and emotionally but it seems that dancing, which she does a lot of helped her tone up, get back into shape after having a baby, and even got her abs back.
Britney's body is both athletic and curvey. It isn't suprising that her moves burn calories because she really moves.
The kind of dancing that Spears done really will get her heart rate up and is most certainally a cardio vascular workout. Remember that 220 minus your age equals your maximum heart rate. However, if your heart is fine and your doctor has given you the ok about going over your maximum heart rate then by all means go ahead. It should make your heart healthier. I am not a doctor but my daughter is. I asked her that question and that is what she told me.
Hip-hop moves require Britney to not just dance but use movements that make her stronger and flexible. The moves burn fat and build muscle both of which equals burning more calories.
Britney also lifts weights and runs.
