Day one: Oprah's Guru, Bob Greene, was on Oprah's show kicking off her Best Life Week shows. Greene had no idea who Oprah was not having a television many years ago when Oprah weighed well over 200 pounds and called on Bob Greene to help her. They have since co-authored books but nothing Greene could do could stop Oprah from once again hitting the number 200 on her scale. If you missed the show you can see and hear some clips at www.oprah.com. Greene talked about diet, exercise, and most importantly happiness.

Greene has 3 phases to once again help us. Each one lasts for four weeks.   Phase 1 jumpstarts your weight loss by getting your metabolism going by eating 3 meals and a snack. Also upping the activity levels begins burning calories. Phase 2 is the level that changes eating habits with removing 6 bad foods. You set up a food plan based on the diet plan's Hunger Scale. Phase 3 is the finale where healthy eating and healthy energy levels equal a new healthy ongoing lifestyle.

Day two of Oprah's Best Life Week focused on health. Oprah's friend and favorite doctor Zehmet Oz creates a wellness plan we can all live by in 2009.

"The tests you need to take if you really want to overhaul your well being and vitality in 2009. We're going to give you the tests, the vitamins you need to take, the supplements you need to be taking, the foods you need to be eating," said Winfrey.

Dr. Oz believes the biggest mistake people make about their health is they think it's all about their genes. "Two-thirds of how you age by the time your age 50 is about your lifestyle not your genes at all," explained Oz.

We all know there are a number of elements that make up a healthy lifestyle. But according to Dr. Oz, one simple task must be part of your routine and that's walking. The goal is 10,000 steps a day

Sleeping more and having more sex are key according to Dr. Oz. Believe it or not he stated that "If you double the amount of sex you're having if you're a male it will increase your life expectancy three years. "

Stay tuned for more about Dr. Oz's healthful tips.
