Oprah's New Year New You for her and us

By now most of my readers know that Oprah has fallen off the wagon or as she has said the wagon fell on her. You'll see her on the cover of O just two years ago looking fit and healthy. Two years later and 40 pounds later she is looking to regain control of her life. It is something to think about when a billionaire with chefs and personal trainers has a hard time saying no to food how the average person without those resources can. Thus the struggle for so many to be and stay fit. It is a struggle and I am well aware of it. That is why I am so excited to be the New England Fitness Examiner. I am struggling as I see 60 closer than I see 57 and will be looking toward Oprah and her upcoming shows for some of my own inspiration and tips to use.  So let's see what Oprah has in store for us:

Oprah will have a series for one week starting Monday, January 5. The series is called Oprah's Best Life Week. We'll get information on relationships, health, wellness and spirit.

Monday, January 5th Best Life Week: Falling off the Wagon

The plan is for Oprah to open up and be even more candid if that is possible. She'll talk about the weight she has gained in spite of never thinking it would happen. Her guru, Bob Greene, will let us in on what Oprah and we can to do get back on track in 2009. Get ready for diet tips, workout plans and making time for you.

Tuesday, January 6th  Best Life Week: Dr. Oz and the ultimate checklist

America’s best loved doctor (well one of them anyway), Dr. Mehmet Oz, will be on Oprah to help us with what is called the Ultimate Health Checklist for 2009.

Wednesday, January 7th  Best Life Week: Finding your spiritual path

This show which can be booked as Spirituality 101 will include author Elizabeth Lesser, Reverend. Ed Bacon, and Reverend Michael Beckwith. Questions such as how to find fulfillment in your life, your job, and family will be taken on.

Thursday, January 8th Best Life Week: Your Money Plan

Money expert Suze Orman will tell us how to eliminate credit card debt; how to save money; and the the rules for retirement. You'll have an opportunity to get her new book free.

Friday, January 9th (The above shows are rating PG. This one is rated TV-14) Best Life Week: Relationships, intimacy and sex
If you are an Oprah fan like I am you'll know that nothing off limits when Oprah talks about sex. Charismatic Dr. Laura Berman will tell us the five things we can do to have better sex.

Get ready to tape this week's Oprah shows. They sound like there will be some great advice. I'll report on them as the days go by.   oprah.com
