Say No to S (source)

The No S Diet: The Strikingly Simple Weight Loss Strategy that has dieters Raving - and dropping pounds written by Reinhard Engels and Ben Kallen seems to really work! It's so simple; however, like any diet you have to stick to it - and that's the hard part, but don't worry the book gives you tips on how to stick to it.

Engels is a software engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Kallen is a health and nutrition writer.

The No S Diet, also known as the "Grandma Diet," the "Why Didn't I Think of that Diet," and the "No $ Diet" is a program of  moderation. Readers, this is nothing new but anything that gives you motivation to get fit is a 5 star diet. What the authors have written about are three rules and one exception:

No Snacks

No Sweets

No Seconds

Except (sometimes) on days that start with "S"         nosdiet

That's it they say; however, if it were that easy we wouldn't have the obesity problem we have. No snacks and no sweets?? Well that  is the problem is it not (as is the nothing white diet - no sugar, no white rice, etc.)?

Give it a try and please come back and let me know how much weight you lost. I do promise that if you only eat any snacks, any sugar and any seconds once in a while, you will lose weight. This is my tip: You are in your office and it's your co-worker's birthday. You really want that piece of cake. Well take it, wrap it up, and put it in the freezer for the "sometimes on S days. I believe knowing it is in the freezer and you will be able to eat it works a whole lot better than prohibiting that food forever.
