Chest spiral CT scan with radiocontrast agent showing multiple filling defects of principal branches of the pulmonary arteries, due to acute and chronic pulmonary embolism. wikipedia
Solange Magnano, a 38-year old former Miss Argentina, is not the first person to die trying to be fit. However, it brings to light what expense - in this case a life - people spend in order to fit a standard that is not only unrealistic and perhaps silly but dangerous as well.
You may want to read "Butt exercises." These will not cost you your life.
Ms. Magnano was the mother of twins who won her crown in 1994. She died Sunday, November 29, 2009 from complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery on her butt. A pulmonary embolism is a "blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches by a substance that has traveled from elsewhere in the body." wikipedia
In this case the liquid in the injections that were involved in "fixing" Ms. Magnano's butt went to her lungs and brain. The embolism was the final stage of her death which also involved inflammation of her lungs.
May you RIP.
