Cellulite is fat that affects 90% of all women - even models and superstars have it but their pictures get airbrushed. Since so many of us want to get rid of it researchers and scientists are trying to figure out what can be done.
The way women's bodies handle fat causes the fat to pull down on the skin. This process creates uneven bumpy layers that we call cellulite.
Some facts
Liposuction doesn't get rid of cellulite.
Although we should drink 8 glasses of water a day the reason is not to get rid of cellulite. Drinking water is not the cure. There really is no cure!
Cellulite can be genetic.
Caffeine drinking doesn't help your cellulite.
Cellulite does not just affect older people. Girls as young as 14 can develop cellulite. However older people are more prone to it because as we age the elasticity in our skin lessens which makes our skin thinner. Now the skin can't hold the fat under it so the fat bulges and cellulite appears.
Exercise won't eliminate your cellulite but it will help to manage your cellulite. The less fat you have the less chance you have that the fat will turn into cellulite. Building your muscles will burn more fat.
Part 2 will go into more depth about the best ways to keep cellulite away.
