Although there are several forms of diabetes most of us are aware of diabetes mellitus (DM), which is both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. DM is the most common affecting about 90% of patients with diabetes .What is being written here is not a replacement for your doctor's advice. Exercise plays a crucial role in all aspects of your life but if you have DM it is even more important. Exercise reduces cholesterol levels and weight. The goal is weight loss. 80% of diabetics are overweight. It is possible by losing weight and through diet and exercise you can reduce the amount of medication you take. Since you will be exercising frequently you want to keep the intensity low and the duration low.
