Perhaps we should call these the cookie monster diets! picture source

Reuters announced today, November 2, 2009,  that the Smart for Life Cookie Diet is discussed in November's issue of Allure Magazine. Smart for Life (a trademarked name) Cookie Diet, is included in an article on how celebrities stay fit and thin.

At this point we probably have all lost count on how many cookie diets there are. If you read the above article you will see the breakdown of calories in the cookies and how many calories you have left at the end of the day. You may be very surprised.

Smart for Life has gotten a lot of other press. The company says that “We have a serious lifestyle program that provides clients with 60% organic, all-natural foods without preservatives. We go beyond the basic nutrients required and include ingredients to lower cholesterol and improve health like HeroFiber(TM) (a super fiber), plant sterols, Omega-3 fatty acids, inulin, vitamins, amino acids and protein - all Smart for Life(TM) products are manufactured with triple-filtered water.”

"Smart for Life(TM) Cookie Diet is unique as it is the only one that uses SASSON Technology(TM) (Smart Appetite Suppressing Sustained Organic Nutrition) and HeroFiber(TM) to suppress the appetite. Many so-called cookie diets use “secret” ingredients - we at Smart for Life(TM) prefer to know what we are eating." You can read the entire article at Reuters.

As an aside a couple of years ago Dr. Seigal's company sued the Smart for Life company for using the cookie diet name.
