Prevention.com has a tool that can help you choose which diet might be best for you. I have posted it below. Note, however, that they are trying to sell you a book which goes along with the diet. For example the answers to the quiz I took gave me two diets:  2-Week Turnaround and The Flat Belly Diet and an explanation of why was given along with how books can be ordered.

You can read my article on Sassy water and the flat belly diet.

We understand that you want to start slimming instantly, but do you have a specific time frame in mind for meeting your goal?

One week: I need some instant results! I want to fit better in my clothes now.
Two weeks: I have a special occasion coming up that I want to look good for.
One month: I want to lose 5 to 10 lbs within the next 30 days.
As long as it takes: I'm doing this to get healthy and keep the pounds off for good. I'm committed for the long term.

If you're overweight, choosing to lose is good for your health. But do you have any specific health concerns?

Blood sugar/Diabetes
Heart disease
Overactive thyroid

Overall health
7
Would you be willing to make exercise part of your weight loss plan?

I'd rather not. I just don't have the time or motivation right now.
I'd be willing to do some walking and light toning exercises.
Sure! I want to look toned and strong when I hit my goal weight.
8
What are your favorite types of exercise? Pick one.

I like when it doesn't feel like exercise and I don't sweat too much, like walking with friends or doing housework.
I enjoy taking cardio fitness classes -- aerobics, step, Spinning.
I prefer low-impact exercise -- yoga, walking, gardening.
I'm into running, cycling, and anything that makes me sweat so I feel the burn!
I like cardio along with some strength-training. I'm willing to try anything once.
I don't have the time/desire to exercise.
9
How often do you eat meals away from home?

Rarely! I have breakfast at home, pack my lunch for work, and eat a homemade dinner most nights.
Mainly on the weekends. I might have dinner or brunch in a restaurant or pick up takeout food.
I almost always buy my lunch during the workweek and pick up takeout a few nights a week for dinner.
All the time. I'm always on the go and rarely eat at home.
10
How do you feel about cooking? Be honest!

I don't mind it if I have time, but I prefer meals that can be ready quickly and don't require much skill.
I hate to cook. Meal prep has to be as simple as possible.
I love to cook! I prefer to make homemade meals and I don't mind spending some extra time preparing the dish.
11
Are you looking for more structure or more flexibility in a weight loss plan?

I like to be told exactly what to eat and what not to eat. I'm willing to stick to an eating plan closely.
I like to be told what to eat for most of my meals, but I want a little flexibility for weekends and special occasions.
I like choices. I want to see meal plans that include plenty of substitution ideas.
12
A team effort or go it alone: how much support would you find helpful as part of a weight loss plan?

I'd like to be able to send or post questions to an expert and get a response.

I just need a book or printable plan; I'm confident I can do this on my own.

I'd like more than just a book or printable plan, such as DVDs, recipes, journals, and online information.

I want to meet other dieters who are following the same plan. I'd like to have community support.
