Kate Hudson, the adorable daughter of Goldie Hawn, has a workout that keeps her looking fantastic. Hudson is close  to hitting the big number 30 is busy working as an actress in films like Almost Famous.

Kate says she doesn't diet and Goldie serves her chicken and dumplings which she can't resiste. So how does she stay in shape? She's active; she loves to dance; and she takes Pilates classes.

Pilates, is a fitness system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. The numbers of Pilates fans are growing because Pilates is fun and it works.

Pilates called his method Contrology which is a Greek word coming from the word control. Pilates though his method used the mind to control the muscles. The program focuses on the core postural muscles (entire abdominal area) which help keep the body balanced. Pilates is one of the most difficult of fitness forms I have taken. People have asked me if Pilates get easier. The answer is "no" but you will get stronger (thus making it seem easier).

Along with Pilates she does Yoga and weight training. After the birth of her son she did watch her calories to get down to the weight she was before giving birth.
