Trial date set for former Cedartown resident in child sex case

A trial date for Shannon Honea and John Nicklas has been set for December 9, 2009.
Both subjects are currently being held without bail in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, Md.


Shannon Honea, a former Cedartown resident and John Nicklas were arrested on July 30, 2009 in Baltimore County, Md.

John Nicklas is charged with second-degree, third-degree, and fourth-degree sex offenses, possession of child pornography, two counts of permitting sex with a child, filming child pornography, using computers for child pornography, and five counts of promoting and distributing child pornography.

Shannon Honea is charged with possession of child pornography, permitting sex with a child, filming child pornography, using computers for child pornography, soliciting children for child pornography, and four counts of promoting and distributing child pornography.
