Want something fun to do for the next eight weeks? Come on down to Abbot Kinney and experience Chef Casey Lane's experimental eight course menu (with eight matched wines to boot!) Starting today, for the next eight weeks from Wednesday - Saturday nights (from 5pm - 11pm), you can taste the menu of the the Pacific Northwest.
The Tasting Kitchen offers two different menus, the "Bill of Fare" and the "Speakeasy Menu." The "Bill of Fare" offers as a first course squid with potatoes, carrots and ceci beans. Second course is sausage and third course is beets with goat cheese, almonds and ham. For fourth course you can sample a salad and for fifth course enjoy endives with apricots, shallots and pistachios. Sixth course will take you to a lamb leg and chop, seventh is a hen with fig stuffing, and for the final eigth course you can savour over halibut with peas and a creme fraiche.
The "Speakeasy menu" is slightly easier on the pocket (most courses run between $7 - $12). First course is oysters, second you can choose between pork or salmon rilletes, for third course there are wings with flax seed and apple cider, fouth course is fries; fifth course is clams and sixth course you can enjoy radicchio with spiced carrots; seventh course is a burger and the eigth course you can go back to France with a croque madame.
Each menu has its own accompanying wine or cocktail so this will be a night to remember! Make sure you make your reservations and enjoy some flavorful fun - at least for the next eight weeks.
