Yes - it's about that time of the year again where you start making your Thanksgiving dinner plans! For those of you who hate slaving away in the kitchen - here are some suggestions for restaurants that will be open this Thanksgiving holiday.

Thursday, November 26, 2009:

Ivan Kane's Cafe Wa S - 1521 Vine Street, Hollywood, CA 90028 / (323) 466-5400

Price: $55 per person (additional $24 with wine pairing) / $26 per child 12 and under

This French bistro is back with Thanksgiving 2009 dinner.  Start with an amuse bouche (Chef Alex's selection) and choose between a first course of either butternut squash bisque or pan-seared scallops.  The second course is a Shelton's Farm organic turkey.  You can select between any two choices of baby brussel sprouts and pork belly, foie gras brioche dressing, cranberry raviolo, taragon tomato Yukon puree or lavender-roasted seet potatoes and mini marshmallows.  The third course is a roasted apple tarte tatin or a pumpkin panna cotta.

Reservations required.

Jar - 8225 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048 / (323) 655-6566

Price: $85 per person / $40 per child 12 and under

Get ready for Thanksgiving with a delicious meal from Jar.  You can choose your choice of chestnut chickpea soup, fall apple celery salad or oyster stew with Chinese celery for starter.  For a family style dinner, you will be served roasted turkey, cornbread and turkey sausage stuffing, sweet potatoes au gratin, mashed Yukon gold potatoes, braised brussel sprouts as well as roasted onions.  Make sure you save room for dessert because you have a choice between pumpkin pie or vanilla ice cream with coffee or tea.

Salmon and vegetarian options are also available, but must be made at time of reservation.

Reservations required, please call restaurant for full details.

The Stinking Rose - 55. N. La Cienega Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211 / (310) 652-7673

Price: $29.95 per person  / $19.95 per child

This casual restaurant specializes in garlic-infused foods (hence the name) but don't be scared because this is a great meal at an affordable price. For Thanksgiving dinner, The Stinking Rose will be serving a house salad, 400 clove garlic roasted turkey breast, mashed yams, cranberry and stuffing.  For dessert they offer pumpkin pie a la mode with their famous house made fresh frozen kustard ice cream.
