Looking to scare yourself this Halloween? Well Los Angeles is a town with a haunted past, but here are my top places to dine that are supposedly "haunted" (insert scary music here):

1. Magic Castle - If you're lucky enough to have snagged a reservation here for this Halloween, you'll be please to know that someone has died in about every room there (I should know, I was here two weeks ago where my tourguide was quick to point out that I had dined in the very same room the owner had died years ago).  With magic at every corner, you can dine with the souls of the past (while all the paintings on the wall follow you with every move). The restaurant here isn't exactly the best (Magic Castle's not really known for their food), but it's all night fun and when there is magic awaiting - this is one of the best haunts to experience in town!

2. Yamashiro - Supposedly, the downstairs is haunted and apparantly the ghost likes to chill in the woman's bathroom.  I, for one, am freaked out by the rumors so I have never been downstairs but I heard for those not scared to find out - it's quite the haunted treat.  If anything Yamashiro has one of the best views of Los Angeles with its gorgeous scenery and architecture (and 500 year old pagoda!) so if you are too scared to find the ghost (or ghosts), it's a great place to dine for a romantic and elegant evening.

3. The White House Restaurant - Located in Anaheim, this restaurant is rumored to be haunted by a young girl, several children and a woman.  Shivering yet? (I hate stories about ghost kids by the way).  Apparantly, the owner of the house lost one of his daughters in a tragic accident in front of the house, and the other ghosts are rumored to be family members of other previous owners that experienced tragedy within the premises.  People have stated that they have seen the chandelier swinging for no apparantly reason (like a kid was swinging on it), or they hear footsteps or have images of kid ghosts.

4. Chateau Marmont - It's one of the oldest Hollywood haunts here in LA, and home of many a secret, many an affair and many a death - it's no surprise that people have rumored to have heard or seen a ghost walking around the corridors.  From Greta Garbo to Elizabeth Taylor - this place may not be as prominent with sounds of children laughing or footsteps (see #3), but it's a great place to dine where you can actually feel the history of Hollywood happening around you. A great location in an old, enchanting setting, Chateau Marmont is home to Hollywood's haunted past.

5. The Queen Mary - Need I say more? You can dine at one of the six restaurants here on The Queen Mary which is widely reported to be haunted (I mean it's an old boat..of course it would be!)  Apparantly lights flicker, doors slam, women appear out of nowhere and dishes vanish into thin air.  Not scared yet? Experience The Queen Mary for yourself and dine with the ghosts of the ship's past.
