The top 10 highest paid actresses in Hollywood are a mixture of dramatic and comedic women, all of which have become very recognizable in their work. The chances for an actress to lead a film still aren't as prevalent in the industry as they should be, but the top 10 highest paid actresses in Hollywood are definitely taking home their share of big paychecks.
At the top of the list for highest paid actresses is still Angelina Jolie, who posted a blockbuster with Wanted last year. She is also receiving a nice paycheck for her next role in Salt, but with all of the successes that Jennifer Aniston has had, there could be a battle for the top earning spot in about a year's time. For now though, the list belongs to Angelina Jolie, and everyone else is just happy to be on it right now.
The list of top earning actresses includes how much money the actress made in the past year, and which films made them all that money. Rennee Zellweger is notable because she makes the list despite having three flops at the box office. Several of the actresses found success with unlikely films, but all 10 of these actresses found a nice paycheck along the way. Also, since the list was finished a couple of the actresses have starred in newer films that will be calculated into their next year's earnings totals.
