Parenthood (1989)
This is one of the funniest clips from the movie "Parenthood." It also leads into one of the most familiar scenes for parents of kids with special needs. One of the hardest moments in the life of the family with special needs is the first meeting with the school. It's the moment when parents who have punished themselves and questioned everything they've done feel diminshed to troubled school kids sent to the principal's office. Fortunately, most schools have gotten rid of the ruler-on-the-knuckles approach and provide support for families and kids with special needs, to say the least.
