Mortified
Mortified finds the brilliance in teen angst.

Nothing quite like digging up that junior high journal. How important it all seemed back then. The endless rehashings of hallway interactions. The terror at being caught wearing the wrong thing. The love poems to Johnny Depp, who, like, totally would want to marry you if he just got to know you. But what to do with the evidence? Do you burn it, chuck it back in the closet -- or choose to embrace your inner fourteen year old, acne and all?

For nearly a decade, Mortified has been encouraging people to dig out their own adolescent journals, letters, poems, and stories and read them onstage for all to hear at their shows in cities across the country.

According to organizers, tonight’s show features “ pathetic crap” from Elizabeth Gutterman, Stacy Kasdin, Anna-Ellen Lenart, Jonathan Kleiman, Christine Cuddy, Adam Curley, and Sara Faith Alterman. Find out how you can be a reader at a future show.

When and where: Thursday, November 5. 8:00pm - 10:00pm. Mottley's Comedy Club. 61 Chatham Street, Boston. Tickets are $20.
