
The number sounds large enough - $10.9 billion from Internet advertising sales in the first half of 2009.
But that number is down 5.3 percent from the same time frame of 2008.
The numbers were released today (Oct. 5) by the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC).

Even with the decline, many ad experts think online sales will continue to be a growth area moving forward. Note the following from the IAB article.
