The problem has been identified as ear pollution. And a Logan, Utah-based company decided that would be a good name for its line of earphones.

The company is iFrogz, a developer of accessories for the iPod and iPhone. They've launched three customizable options in time for the holidays - Hype earbuds, and Fallout and Nerve Pipes "on-ear" headphones, in the company's EarPollution line. The products also will be featured at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.

The company says each earphone style has more than 200,000 unique options, with multiple color and artwork choices. Users can customize with these components - headband, base, side piece, spearker piece, cushions and hinge piece, depending on the model.

“The EarPollution line gave us a chance to expand our offerings past cases and branch into brand driven, quality earphones and accessories. The ability to customize these earphones gives iFrogz customers complete creative control to develop something truly unique and original.” - Scott Huskinson, iFrogz CEO

The headphones are available at iFrogz.com. Prices range from $19.99 for the Hype earbuds, and $34.99 for both the Fallout and Nerve Pipes. The company plans more customizable options at a later date.
