Although the economic crisis has been first and foremost in President-elect Barack Obama's planning and in his cabinet appointments, he gave a nice shoutout to America's teachers and parents in his Thanksgiving address yesterday, specifically thanking "teachers who stay late after school and parents who put in that extra hour reading to their kids."
