With Spring just arriving, the summer is right around the corner. With that being the case, there are plenty of concerts that are slowly being announced that will keep all music fans alike busy. With numerous hot concerts to attend each and every summer there is always alternatives such as festivals. One of the most popular festivals would be the Van's Warped Tour which is entering it's fifteenth year of existence.
This year the Tour will hit our area Friday, July 17th at the Susquehanna Bank Center in nearby Camden NJ. Doors for the event will open at 11:00 A.M. While many fans are used to the event holding two main stages this year will however be different, there will only be one main stage which will allow for the more mainstream bands to play longer sets.
While this change allows for more of the headliners of the tour to get extra time for their sets, the fact of the matter is that this years lineup really isn't anything that special. Bands such as; Thrice, The Bouncing Souls, The Ataris, Meg and Dia, Saosin, and Silverstein really make up the upper echelon with a lot of mediocre bands filling out the rest. It surely isn't the same tour that brought you the likes of Blink-182 and Incubus in previous years.
With that being said, for all you music lovers in the Delaware Valley, I still strongly encourage you to make your way out to the show. If the lineup isn't all that strong, the atmosphere itself is fun. For anyone who hasn't had the chance to make it to a festival, it surely is a fun experience that is needed to be had at least once.
